How to Transfer my LPG Connection to family member

How do I transfer my LPG Connection to a family member?

Transfer of LPG connection to family member is now permitted. In case the transferee in your family is not having a LPG connection you may please provide a request to your LPG distributor with the following :

- KYC of the Transferee
- Proof of Address & Proof of Address
- Original Subscription Voucher(SV) in Your Name (If SV is missing Please provide affidavit)
- Declaration from the transferee

The KYC will be verified, multiple connections in the address mentioned for transfer will be checked and then the distributor will make a new Subscription voucher in the Transferee's name.

Transfer of connection to legal heir is now simplified. In case the transferee (legal heir ) is not having a LPG connection you may please provide a request to your distributor with the following:

- Declaration by Legal Heir
- Copy of Death Certificate
- KYC of the Legal Heir
- Proof of Address & Proof of Address
- Original Subscription Voucher(SV) in the name of deceased( If SV is missing Please provide affidavit)
- Declaration from the Legal Heir

The KYC will be verified, then multiple connections in the address mentioned for transfer will be checked and then the distributor will make a new Subscription voucher in the Transferees name

How to seed UID / Aadhar with GAS

Government of India has decided to start direct benefit transfer mode (DBT) to pay subsidies on cooking gas cylinders to the Public. Direct Benefit Transfer mode means receiving subsidies for liquefied petroleum gas cylinders directly to their bank accounts. To facilitate DBT to get subsidies for your LPG, you should link your Aadhaar Number / UID / 12 digit Unique Identification Number with your Gas agency and your bank.

How to work DBT mode to get Subsidy for LPG

In direct benefit transfer mode (DBT) mode, the government will deposit subsidy amount directly to their bank accounts when they book for LPG refilling. The LPG consumers would have to buy cylinders at market price, which would be almost double the subsidized rates.

There are several methods to link your Aadhaar number with your LPG agency. LPG consumers can enroll their Aadhaar by SMS / IVRS / Call Centers / Internet / Post

How to Enroll Aadhaar with LPG through SMS

LPG Consumers can link or enroll their Aadhaar Number (UID) through SMS by sending their Aadhaar number and consumer number. You need to register your mobile number with your distributor before linking your Aadhar through SMS.

Step 1. Register your mobile number Send REG distributor telephone number with STD code without zero customer number (eg. REG 117654321 564321)

Step 2: From Registered Telephone number : UID Aadhaar number (eg. UID 343434343434) to the SMS / IVRS numbers for Aadhaar seeding

Already two or more districts in Kerala started DBT mode of subsidy payment to LPG consumers.
